Sharaaz Khan Qadri manages the HopetoHeal.Org Weblog. A Curriculum Developer, Instructional Designer, and Learning Management System Administrator by profession, Sharaaz is also Managing Director of the Islamic Education and Cultural Research Center (IECRC), Sacramento Chapter and the IECRC Academy for youth and children.
The overall mission of the IECRC is to promote spirituality through education, research, and cultural discourse based on the centuries old Islamic traditional values of the Saints of God (the Awliya) of love for all, tolerance, peace, and harmony. Sharaaz Khan Qadri has studied with various scholars of Zaytuna Institute, has received certification in the Arabic language at Jama-e-Damisque and is currently a student of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri under who he has studied the Hanafi Fiqh, Tasawwuf, Aqeedah.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri is a renowned scholar from Pakistan who taught at its local colleges as well as the University of Karachi, Pakistan for over 20 years. He has expertise both in modern education as well as traditional Islamic Sciences having completed the Dars-e-Nizami, an 18 year traditional Islamic course from Pakistan. He has also studied with scholars from Al-Azhar University, Cairo. Dr. Qadri holds certification in Intercultural Communication from the Center for Intercultural Studies, University of British Columbia, Canada. He is also an authorized spiritual guide in the Qadiriyyah, Chistiyyah, Naqshbandiyyah, Suharwardiyyah, and Rifaiyyah Sufi orders.
Sharaaz Khan Qadri has received ijaza (permission to practice, treat patients and teach) in Islamic Spiritual Healing in the Qadri, Naqshbandi, Suharwardi, Chishti, and Rifa'ii Sufi orders at the hands of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri.
